Farm Homes Needed for Felines
Due to the many cats and kittens coming in our doors, we are unable to find indoor homes for them all. To prevent having to euthanize large numbers of healthy cats due to overpopulation, we have developed a “farm cat” program. To be considered for the farm program, a cat must have the temperament and skills needed to live outside. Also, cats eligible for the farm program must not be declawed. Before a cat goes to a farm they are: spayed or neutered, given their distemper combo and rabies vaccinations, dewormed, and given flea preventative. They also must test negative for feline leukemia.
We have only a few simple "requirements" of families interested in taking cats in this situation:

We have only a few simple "requirements" of families interested in taking cats in this situation:
- For the first 5 to 7 days, the cat(s) must be kept enclosed. This way their "inner radar" activates to their new home.
- Adequate food and water must be provided year round.
- Shelter must be available 24 hours a day.
