Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a foster parent for MCHS?
Opening your home to a dog or cat in need is an unbelievably rewarding experience! Not only this, but you are saving a dog or cat in need, and making a difference. Saying goodbye when your foster gets adopted it always hard, but the greatest feeling in the world is knowing your foster pet is going to his or her purrfect home!
MCHS provides the following to approved foster homes:
Food ( & Dishes)
Bedding
Crate (if needed)
Litterboxes & litter (for cats)
Approved veterinary care (includes flea/tick preventative, dewormer, spay/neuter, etc)
.....you add in the warm home, lots of love, playtime, and cuddles on the couch!
Foster homes are especially needed for:
Orphaned / bottle fed kittens
Lactating mother cats & kittens
Lactating mother dogs & puppies
Weaned puppies / kittens
Undersocialized dogs / cats
Adult dogs / cats when we begin to reach capacity
